I can't believe I wrote only two posts and then just left you all hanging. Sorry about that. I'm sure I've lost a few readers over that major blogging faux pas.
But the good news is I'm back with some exciting news to share. WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!!! Yep, you read those screaming capital letters right! Baby Reeser is due June 17, 2013. And I've felt great. I'm now a couple weeks into the second trimester and haven't been sick at all. Well, I did throw up once but I think that had more to do with stinky dog poop than pregnancy sickness. Trust me, it was gross.
I didn't want to break such exciting news without a picture to show so I thought I would be all smart and scan in our ultrasound picture. So I did. And you literally couldn't see anything. And then it wouldn't even let me insert it in the blog because it was a PDF and not a JPG. And you know I am with technology. So I outsmarted everyone and just took a picture of the picture with my phone. Ha!
So here's our little peanut. Actually at this time the baby was the size of a gummy bear! We have been so amazed and humbled at the detail by God in the way He is forming our baby inside of me. It is incredible.
We had another appointment this past Friday where we got to hear the heartbeat. I know I'm preaching to the choir, but its just incredible!!
So now I might actually have something to blog about once every couple of months!! ;)
So welcome to the age of technology. I'm blogging from my phone!! Thanks, Lisa, for letting me know about the Blogger app! Just giving it a little whirl.
I should also take this opportunity to announce to you all that I accepted a new job!! Still court reporting but i will now be working in Anoka County, which is where I live, rather than Hennepin County, which is where I've been working for the last ten years! I will now have a ten-minute drive rather than about 45 minutes! So we're pretty excited about that. I think Hal is mostly excited because it means he'll get dinner at about 7:00 rather than 8:00 or 9:00! Yeah, still working on that whole working/making dinner timing thing.
And this is the only picture I managed to get all weekend. This little lady needs to be touching me at all times. Here we're doing laundry together. Ha. It gets a little frustrating in the kitchen when I'm trying to maneuver around her. She'll learn eventually since I keep stepping on her!
Hal's football team suffered their first loss of the season out in Oregon last weekend. Bummer! So now a week off - for the team anyway. Hal and I will be heading to a high school game Friday night and another college game on Saturday! Fun times. And then Macalaster is back in action the following weekend at Carleton College in Northfield.
Hope you all are having a great week!
Hi! I decided to jump back into the blogging world. But Blogger has changed since I was last here -- or since I last created a blog -- so it has taken me awhile to get this thing up and running! And it's still a work in progress so bear with me as I work the kinks out and get everything looking the way I want it! I'm excited to be back and share with you this incredibly amazing and exciting life of ours. ha. I hope you sense the sarcasm. We're quite boring. But I'll do my best to keep you interested in the goings on of the Reeser fam!
I have the one and only Jill Martinson to thank for the title of this blog. It's quite fitting, and I think it's kinda cute. So thanks, Jill!!
We've been settling into married life quite nicely! We got into our late summer/fall routine right away after the honeymoon with football preseason starting in early August and now the regular season is well underway and the Fighting Scots of Macalester College are 3-0!! This is the first time since 1984 that they've had that great of a start, so it's pretty exciting! Hal is off to Portland, Oregon, this weekend to try to bump that up to a 4-0 start. This will be the biggest competition so far this season, so we're keeping our fingers crossed!
But when the cat's away the mice will play! I was supposed to be stuck in a seminar all weekend for work, but we found out yesterday that the funding didn't come through to pay for us to go. We could pay our own way, but at $95 per session, and about five or six session a day, that's a big fat NEGATIVE! So I'm getting together tonight with one of my favorite gals (Gina!) and we're heading to a benefit dinner for fellow Baudette native Kyle Nylander tonight! And, tomorrow, who knows?!?! So fun to have a weekend with nothing planned!!! Manicure? Yes, please! Pedicure? Double yes, please!!!
So I hope you all enjoy your weekend! I know I will! And I'll try to snap some pics so the next post isn't so boring. Well, I guess I can leave you with a few wedding pics just to have something to look at!
